Mother and Child

This limestone carving shows the great importance a mother is for her child.  This limestone is displayed at the Cal State San Bernardino Muesum. As there are many limestones like this, I have seen many other great pieces of art that show well the importance of a mother and child. One great example is the Pepy II and his mother, Queen Ankhnes- Meryre. Without a mother there would be no life and today I decided to wait and write this post on Mother's Day to show the wonderful place mothers have in our hearts. As many know the birth of a child is a wonderful thing and without the care from their mother the survival of the child is questionable. Meanwhile, Happy Mother's Day bloggers.

    "Scream" Painting up for Auction

On May 2, 2012 one of four versions of Edvard Munch's "Scream" will be up for auction. This version of the painting is a pastel painting done in 1895. Bookies are expecting the painting to go for $200 million dollars on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see how much this painting will go for.
