I agree what Victoria Salvador said. I think the second one is saying that art should show Truth. Art shouldn't take on the form of false, fabricated, or idealized. But if art is trying to break away from society, it should also help the world by changing it. Or at least that's how I'm reading if that makes sense.
I believe these quotes are just stating that art shouldn't consist of made up concepts or ideas. They should portray actual life at that point in time and incorporate changes that should be made to help society. The last quote states how Art should show changes in our society and then in exchange maybe society will change certain things by viewing the art. Art shouldn't portray lies or shield society of maybe negative images.
Life is art, I feel that just the fact that we live and things live that in itself is a constant representation of art. Through life experiences and visual happenings art is evident and thriving if you are paying attention. T hats the way art should be thought as to begin with, based off natural feelings, instincts and nature. The beauty in life is what will inspire and create arts that people can relate and feel.

I agree with Naijahlece, that life represents art and based off our own personal feelings, instincts, etc.
I also think of art as something that is related to history. It is a picture of the moment of that time. It can show the experience, the feelings, and the events during that time period. Art continues to grow and change because people change. As people change, the styles of paintings are different. Just as people grow and decay, so does types of art.

I've always felt that because art is a representation of life, art should also be used to change how life is perceived. I believe that is what Fische is saying in his quote; that although the world is a very ugly place to be in at times, art can make the world beautiful. And if the world can be seen as beautiful within art, then wouldn't that make the world beautiful?

this is good. i agree he just wants life as it is to be art. in other words the life we see is art.
the second one as well is good because art can help people change it.
I want both to be completely separate so I can tell the difference.
