New Van Gogh Painting Found
After nine years of research, scientists used a technique called Macro Scanning X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry and discovered that this painting is a Van Gogh. The painting, Still life with roses and field flowers has a very interesting story, because Van Gogh actually painted over one of his previous paintings to create it.
And it is quite an unusual Van Gogh. First, the size is weird, too large for the Dutch author: 39.3 x 31.4 inches (100 x 80 centimeters). His flowers were never as big during his Parisian period, when this painting was created. Also, experts thought the piece was too exuberant for the post-impressionist master.

I've seen many paintings of flowers before but this one truly captures my eye. The variety of different flowers, and colors really sets it apart. All these flowers are all different yet still seem to blend toether so well. You can really see all the fine detail put into this art piece.

Even though they felt that the work with its big flowers was unlike his style, with the use of a radiography method they finally proved that this painting belonged to Vincent. I love how Van Gogh uses different flowers of different colors and sizes. Its seems dark and mysterious, but i like it.
That's very interesting! I wonder why Van Gogh would use one of his previous paintings to create a new one. It seems weird to me because all of his work is amazing and there's no reason to ruin a piece of art to make another. However, he is a bright man so his new piece must be way better than the first.

It is always so exciting to hear a new painting is found from famous artist such as Van Gogh. I love his flower paintings including this one but my favorite of his will forever be Starry Night.
Van Gogh has painted some amazing art work that express many different kinds emotion. I've seen any paintings of flowers but Van Goghs flower paintings show exceptional attention to detail.Van Gogh unique way of leaving a mark on his oieces art is extraordinary and the "New Van Gorh Painting Found" proves it.

Having the chance to see the veriaty of colors shown between each flower is perfect. They show how flowers can have an impact on a piece of art.
Wow! Beautiful painting! The colors are really nice, and I like how the flowers on the bottom give a sense that the vase was either still being worked on or abandoned. It is a little different than Van Gough's normal work, but I think it really catches the eye. To know that it was painted over another painting adds a bit of mystery. I wonder what it could have been...

Beautiful painting, this piece just take sme through so many diffrent thoughts. The way that the colors are presented, they are in a strange asortment that just works. This is a fine representation of how many diffrent ways we use flowers and how they and the natural beauty they posses captivates the human eye. We use all these flowers for diffrent occasions, many times they all are used for diffrent situations. When all these flowers are organized in this way all you notice is the essence of their beauty.
