Who and what limits our freedom of expression? In what ways do cultural differences affect our understanding of art and other forms of communication? How do an artist’s process and choice of medium affect our perception of his or her work? This episode features artists who synthesize disparate aesthetic traditions, present taboo subject matter, discover innovative uses of media, and explore the shape-shifting potential of the human figure.

We as individuals limit our own freedom of expression. Our cultural differences and beliefs will determine if we choose to agree with others perspectives or not. How and what we were taught will determine our way of thinking. Artists choose what they want to exaggerate and show through their work. They portray their own opinions through their work. Depending on our own traditions, values, and beliefs we each choose to agree or disagree with their work. What an artists exaggerates and might find important in a certain piece of art might not be viewed from the same perspective by another person.

Many artists give a special meaning in their work, but not everyone is going to agree with it because we all don't think the same. We can have different opinions depending on what part of the world we are from. I think this is a video you need to see because it shows us how many people don't fully express themselves due to what they might say about them. People may feel "different" but when they have a talent for something it can give them the confidence they need.

I totally agree with what the video is saying about how art is what we make it and no one else to judge otherwise. Art could could be anything that we are expressing, our creativity and everyone experiences art differently.
