Glenn Ligon's work is on display at LACMA from October 23, 2011 to January 22, 2012.

"The exhibition includes unknown early material and the reconstruction of seminal bodies of work such as the Door paintings, the coal dust Stranger canvases and the Coloring series."

This looks very interesting and by the look of the artwork shown in the picture it seems like a sort of storytelling. I like how he incorporates his background into his works.

There are a few pieces of modern art that I really like and this is one of them! Some how this artist knows how to portray this text in that manner. Its dark and interesting!

When I first saw this picture I thought oh its very intriguing but then I look with more detail and i realized its on a wall. It lets the eyes wonder and see what ever they want to see. It is a very interesting piece.
