Happy Birthday, Jackson

Happy birthday to Abstract Expressionist painter Jackson Pollock, who was born on this day 99 years ago. See some of his best-known works in the Museum of Modern Art collection.

Saw this at class today. At 1st I thought he used a splatter technique to some parts of the painting.

I love this painting technique used Jackson Pollock. I love hoe his art work leaves all the interpretation up to the viewer. Happy late birthday Jackson Pollock.

Jackson Pollock has a very interesting technique for art. There is no right or wrong technique so anything will work. The art is simply whatever the viewer makes of it.

wow this is fascinating. I like that he didn't follow any standards or "correct" procedures to create his art, because that would have taken away from the originality. So he leaves the interpretation all to the viewers? he doesn't say anything about what he wants it to portray?
